Hello,

After struggling a lot with my Nikon D7200 and Darktable (the default
color rendition of RAW with Darktable is sometimes really off), I gave
up on processing all RAW systematically.
Indeed the default JPEG given by the camera is good enough for most
purposes (at least for me and my family).

So I would like to implement the following workflow:
1) review each JPEG picture and:
  a) if the JPEG is good enough, do nothing
  b) if the JPEG need to be reframed, do it on the JPEG directly
  c) if the the RAW need to be used, do the modifications on the RAW
2) At the end, select the JPEG which have been modified by 1a) and the
RAW which have been modified by 1c) and export them in JPEG format.

What would be the "darktable" way to do it ?

For the moment I proceed like this:
1) import the directory (RAW + JPEG)
2) go to the darkroom
3) double-click on the JPEG thumbnails below (because if I use the space
bar, the next picture selected will be the RAW)
4) if only reframe is needed, I reframe the JPEG and mark with 5-stars
5) if heavier modifications are needed, I double-click on the RAW
thumbnail, modify the RAW and mark the RAW with 5-stars
6) At the end, I select all 5-stars pictures and export them in JPEG.

It works, but the whole marking with the 5-stars is a bit cumbersome
(and it is easy to forget to do it).
I thought there should be another "darktable" way to do it but I don't
know how.

Can someone recommend a better workflow ?

Thanks a lot
