Hi,
I'm having some difficulties in understanding the behaviour of the white
balance module (darktable v2.07) on photos taken with my Olympus cameras
OM-D E-M5 Mk2 and OM-D E-M10, especially when using one of the pre-sets
beyond 'camera' or 'spot' together with 'finetune'.
* On the OM-D E-M10 pictures, the 'finetune' setting does actually
affect the picture, but the setting appears not to be stored
correctly - when re-opening the picture in the darkroom, the white
balance pre-set seems lost, sometimes only a black frame is shown
instead of the picture.
* On the OM-D E-M5 Mk2 pictures, the 'finetune' setting is also
available, but does apparently not affect the picture. The white
balance pre-set itself is stored correctly, but the 'finetune' value
is reset to zero (which is in line with the fact, that it did not
have any effect in the first place..).
I understand that some camera-specific data are needed to make the
'finetune' function work, so some of the behaviour I see may be due to
missing camera data. If I can provide these, I'd be happy to do so (just
need to understand what would be needed..).
However, with the OM-D E-M10 pictures, there also seems to be some
problem with the way darktable handles 'finetune', or am I doing
something the wrong way?
thanks and regards -
Karsten
