Could be related to https://redmine.darktable.org/

But as a user, it seems unusual to me that the focus could be lost when I
type something in a text field.

I see no case in my day to day computer usage where I need to keep the
mouse on the text field in order to be able to type and fill the field.

Consequently I have one question : is this an expected behaviour or maybe a
side effect of the above quoted modification ?

Best regards,

Thomas
