Well, trying to white balance concert lighting seems like it might be a potentially futile task, but... what I would do is use a different module, maybe "color correction", to produce the offset from white that you want, then apply that same setting to all the pictures that you white balance using the dress.
Yes, perhaps use spot white balance on the dress, then try to offset it with the sliders, or use "color correction".
Weird situations like this do come up from time to time, where it would be nice to be able to havemultiple instances of the white balance module, even though that seems silly in theory.
The main reason I can think of that you'd want two white balance modules with masking is because of mixed light, i.e. different parts of the image lit by different sources. The main one I come up against is strong window light mixing with interior lighting (especially bad I find are halogen downlights which create a really hard, warm, and not particularly CRI-complete light).
If I white balance for the spots that are illuminating the people in my shot, I get horrible blue background lit by the window light. If I white balance for the background then the people are unbearably warm.
IIRC multiple-white-balance is on the todo list, not sure on priority though. -R ____________________________________________________________________________ darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to [email protected]
