Hi, I noticed my darktable cache is taking much space. So I searced for a way to remove unused ones. Simple way would be to delete all and rebuild all. But I think this could be done better.
When I run darktable-generate-cache, I can see as last line: image 19584/19584 (100,00%) (id:31521) So I have 19584 pictures with highest ID 31521. In .cache/darktable/mipmaps- xxx/0 I have 23321 files. In 1 are 23532 and so on. Seems like some thumbnails are not valid anymore. I found purge_non_existing_images.sh and ran it. du wasn't changing. Had a look inside. I think it is purging the database file from unused pictures. Which is also good :-) So here is my question: Is there a tool for removing obsolete thumbnails? I would prefer that over a complete rebuild. I usually import all and then decide which one to delete. So there are always thumbnails generated which I don't need later. Best Regards, Micha. ____________________________________________________________________________ darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to [email protected]
