I can think of two ways:

- https://houz.org/posts/2016/10/07/using-a-samyang-14mm-in-darktable/ 
describes how to change the metadata dt sees for images. Quite a dirty hack.

- New versions of libexiv2 support aliasing the lens as described here: 
http://dev.exiv2.org/issues/1241

Both approaches would make the lens look like the old model known to lensfun. 
If that's not what you want you can probably still create a copy of the lens 
entry in lensfun.
