It's a regular Dell laptop.  I got a little further with 2.0.7, but that
one was complaining about GTK3 not being there.  I guess the one that comes
with teh RHEL/Centos 6.8 distro (darktable-1.0.5) is probably the only one
that will work.  gphoto2 seems to work with that camera though.
