Afaik, Darktable doesn't have provisions for stacking.

But are you interested in astro-photography or nightscapes? The former often
uses specialised programs (e.g. http://deepskystacker.free.fr/english/
index.html), as there are quite a few of steps to the process (darkframe
subtraction, registration/aligning of the images, then the stacking itself).

For the latter, something like Hugin (http://hugin.sourceforge.net/) might do
the trick (although 25 images is a lot). Don't be fooled by the presentation
as a panorama stitcher, that's just the use it initially was developed for.
