That would do it, all right. Try 90, or at most 94; you'll get much smaller files with very little loss. Note that 100 does *not* mean lossless unless you're specifically using lossless JPEG. If you want lossless, you need to use a lossless format. > On Fri, Nov 2, 2018, 8:16 PM Patrick Shanahan <p...@opensuse.org wrote: > >> * Buck Shockley <darkwingbuc...@gmail.com> [11-02-18 19:57]: >> > This happened when editing JPEG files, not RAW. >> > >> > This is happening in Darktable 2.4.4 on Manjaro. >> > >> > The original JPEGs are ~12 MB in size and the exported are ~24. >> > >> > I'm shooting with a Nikon D3400. >> > >> > Due to the size of these files, I have to send them as a Google Drive >> link. >> > All of the photos I've exported have their size increased to some degree, >> > but this is the most egregious case: >> > >> > https://drive.google.com/open?id=1geo8SkVQ1sLE8dQXtr2ydyu2XZ1ShSu9 >> > >> > Sorry for not sending this info earlier. >> > >> > -Buck >> > >> > >> > On Fri, Nov 2, 2018 at 6:09 PM Bernhard <darkta...@intervalsignals.org> >> > wrote: >> > >> > > >> > > Patrick Shanahan schrieb am 02.11.18 um 22:26: >> > > > * Buck Shockley <darkwingbuc...@gmail.com> [11-02-18 16:56]: >> > > >> I noticed this behavior and I'm not sure if it's a setting I'm >> missing >> > > or >> > > >> something, but photos I export tend to double in size from the >> original >> > > >> import, even in ones with one module running upon export. >> > > > you need to offer much more information for anyone to try to >> critique the >> > > > problem you seem to have. perhaps offer a copy of the original >> photo and >> > > > the history-stack/xml and a copy of the "doubled" export. >> > > > >> > > > note: one would also expect to know what version of dt used and the >> > > > platform and camera. >> > > > >> > > also: >> > > What does that mean: "double in size"? >> > > File size (MB) or size of the picture (in pixel)? >> > > What's your input file format?
