Well, that article might just as well have been written in Mandarin Chinese.
I’m just a businessman, trying to get product photos up on my website. I need
software that I can install and it just runs. I’m not a computer programmer.
I’ll find another solution. Darktable runs fine in Linux. I’d just rather not
have to run virtual machine software which uses lots of RAM.

Thanks,

Peter White

Please keep communications on the mailing list.
Please provide full crash log, otherwise nobody can help you. I've
described how to get it.

The DMG file at darktable.org<http://darktable.org> is version 2.4.4

Where would I get a DMG file for 2.6?

Thanks

Please try darktable-2.6.0rc1, maybe crash is gone there.
Also crash report is not printed in Terminal, but can be viewed when
dialog "application crashed" appears or later in Console application.
It contains backtrace.

Try opening up a terminal and entering the command

/Applications/darktable.app/Contents/MacOS/darktable

Then if Darktable crashes it will output the crash report to the terminal.

I’m running OS X 10.13.4

Darktable crashes within a minute or so of starting the program. What can be
done?

Showing the crash report would be a good start.

Thanks,
