Hi,

If I try to pick midtones (gamma / power) factor, the image goes too
bright. If I enter the same value using the keyboard or by dragging
the slider with the mouse, I get a completely different result.
Illustration (zoomed in to a piece of the background):

The color balance module, after a reset:

Picking the factor - picture becomes too bright, washed out:

Entered the same value, 0.38 from the keyboard (for the screenshot, I
right-clicked the slider and typed again, but the image is already the
result of previously typing the same 0.38 value):

Highlights, shadows seem to work OK. "optimize luma" behaves the same
way (picks a value for the midtones that results in a washed-out
picture, then entering the same number again brings the image back to
normal). The same thing happens even if I go back to 'original' in the
history stack and use the midtone or "optimize luma" eyedropper.

Did I misunderstand something, or is this a bug?

TIA,
Kofa
