Indeed. Google has change the API and deprecated the old one.

The only solution would be to move to the unstable branch (master) in
the repository (meaning you'll have to build from sources) as I have
recently implemented the storage based on the Google Photo API.

Also not that in this new version only the images uploaded or the album
created with the new API are listed.

Google seems to makes things harder and worst for everyone :(
