copied this from a google search
he lens correction profiles (distortion and vignetting) are embedded in the
Nikon NEF metadata. They're not actually applied to the image but instead used
by raw processors such as ACR/LR, which apply the correction profile to the
image when you import the raw.

When creating a new preset, it is possible to define to use it
automatically in some specific cases. Therefore one of the Options
in the naming-dialoque must be activated.
Activating one of the ceckboxes opens more Input fields whicht allows
to define this style automatically used for a specific lens.
I made a screeshot of the dialoque, albeit it is in german, I hope it
helps finding this hidden options.
