check in preferences - darkroom - 'show search module text entry'
You can double click to reset to 'show both'

I am a novice user of DT 3.02 on Window 10. I do not know how it
happened but the “module groups button bar” does not show up anymore.
On the right-side panel of the darkroom I only get the histogram and
under that histogram the module search field and the list of active
modules. The module search field still does what it should do. But the
buttons aren’t there anymore so I cannot show the selection lists of
color/effect/… modules.
I did not find any shortcut, button or setting that handles this. I
fully wiped DT and re-installed it to obtain this module groups button
bar back. But now I need to re-initiate everything : settings,
presets, styles, … .
Please advise ? Thank you.
