I have to agree: I use Darktable and GIMP on Windows 10 and it runs
very well, I tried to install it on my older computer (running Ubuntu)
and it worked too, but not as smoothly. You probably need to be a
Linux expert to set up a linux system to give you the same performance
/ results, and your hardware has a bigger impact than the system you
use.
