"the package" refers to the assembly of files necessary to install lensfun
on your Mint system.

You need someone who uses Mint to explain what is necessary to install
lensfun on your system as it.  

Mint20 apparently uses synaptic package manager.  You would download the
lensfun package(s) for your system and utilize synaptic to install it.

synaptic should be available on your system.

The zip package undoubtedly requires you to compile lensfun and that is
somewhat involved, especially for someone not knowing that requirement. 
Installing lensfun package(s) with synaptic should be much simpler.

sorry I have little knowledge of synaptic but google does exist and can
probably guide you.
