Hi Marc,
I am a Windows user and despite the warnings to do backup I have no
need to because my edits are always saved as tiff files for archival
storage or further editing in GIMP. So I just install the latest version
and without fail I have never had a problem. First time I use the new
version it wants to update the database and I just click on the option to
do this.
