Greetings,
On darktable 3.4.1
This could be operator error or an intentional feature or a bug. I
could not determine either way and looking for help. I tried reading
documentation about film strip at
https://www.darktable.org/usermanual/en/module-reference/utility-modules/shared/filmstrip/
and that did not help me much, especially when it comes to map view.
Film strip seems to be using ctrl-click to select/unselect images.
Just clicking on a image is not selecting it. This behavior is
different than similar view, that is lighttable. Reading the manual
told me to ctrl-shift-a to reset the selecton, but should it reset
when you just click on the image?
No, AFAIK it's intentionally. Try Alt-click instead.
I am trying to drag images to desired location by selecting all the
images and then tagging a set of images. I have to reset my selections
frequently for right tags for the images and it becomes interesting
exercise as behavior is different than lighttable view. In lighttable
view, clicking on the image resets selection, you can use ctrl click
to select/unselect image and shift-click allows you to select range of
images. Same combination does not seem to be working in film strip.
This could be a bug or intentionally build this way and I am trying to
understand the behavior and avoid goofs I am making.
Regards,
Niranjan
