To be more precise: I was trying to create a 'preset' that would crop
all instances to 'max-area' ... the preset failed.

Aren't you mixing up with the crop&rotate. There has never been an "Ok"
in perspective correction.
There is no "max area" as described in David message either, maybe
"largest area"?
And the cropping in perspective correction is persistant between edit
for me.
So, lack of precision and things that cannot be reproduced... Hard to
tell what could be wrong.
