Hey, thank you, I didn't know this.

In trying it out I found that it is better to turn on "tags case sensitivity"
in the collections settings of the lighttable. When selecting a collection
according to a tag while the collections setting is on the default
"non-(case)-sensitive", the custom sorting may not work as expected. The tags
are shown entirely in lowercase when selecting, while what is being displayed
may contain some pictures tagged with uppercase characters. Trying the custom
sort was not working well. So the solution was turn on "tags case sensitivity".
When selecting a collection, the tags are then shown in lowercase and
uppercase as they were initially assigned. Eventually I had to re-tag to have
consistent use of upper- and lowercase.

Regards,
Marc.

If you choose in lighttable "custom sort", you can change the order of images
directly by dragging.
