I’m transferring my digital life from a Windows 10 machine to a Macbook, it’s my first Apple device ever so I’m new to this all. I installed darktable but wasn’t able to import files from my external disk; it’s not being recognized. I already searched under ‘+ locations’. I always work from external disks, because internal memory gets full too soon and I don’t want to have to change directory files in darktable. The import interface looks really different…? I created tags in darktable on Windows. Will they be transferred as information in the sidecar files from the photos that have those tags? And if not, how do I get them into my new laptop and attached to the correct photos easily?
