[darktable-user] Relocating Picture folder

I am making a fresh install on a system with the O/S going onto a small 
fast drive and want to put the pictures onto a large slower storage medium.

Is it necessary to move the entire /home folder to the larger drive or 
can I simply relocate the Pictures folder? Can dt find images on a 
secondary drive?
