I have always worked with "write sidecar on import" flagged, assuming
that after that, any edit would be copied to xmp.
The scope of that flag is to avoid populating the folder of files if the
images are not edited, I think.
Is there anything like a darktable user? the files are in my folders,
and I am the owner...
Cannot see a darktable in /etc/passwd.
