I've noticed that I get somewhat more sophisticated in my use of Dt, many
settings that I wish to set become dependent on information in my image.

I'm aware of the presets, of course, and use them whenever practical, but
they are hard-coded to apply (and over-write) any settings that currently
exist.

I can think of three use-cases where a setting would need to apply to many
images in a more responsive way, but are tedious for the human to have to
figure out:

1. ETTR (expose to the right[1]): It would be VERY useful to have a
"preset" or "macro" or "script" that could read the EV settings in the file
and then apply exposure modification based on this. So if I exposed at +1,
then the exposure "preset" in Dt could be set to -1. This would rarely be
ideal, but is a good place to start.

2. Noise: I learned some from Johaness about the Bilateral Filter Denoise
plugin today, and am excited about its prospects. But it seems to use it
best, you need to tune the settings according to the white balance data in
the image. Again, if a script could read these coefficients and apply a
smart function curve (perhaps based on ISO?) this would save me the user a
bunch of time.

3. Chromatic Abberation: I have one pretty bad lens, when that one is in
place, I always need to turn on CA fixing; not for my other lenses (at
least, not automatically). If lens == 'foo': ca_filter = True.

I'm sure that there are many more examples of this kind of idea.

What do you think?
