Johannes, if you ever look into this, maybe text editors could provide an
inspiration, because they apply most changes live, without any explicit
"commit" action from the user, and yet have a highly granular undo history.
Another inspiration could be Adobe Lightroom. The end of action (mouse
release), as suggested by Štěpán, could certainly work very well, both for
curve-based and for slider based modules.
