Sorry, wrong tool.

DT does not support lossless processing of lossy formats, to be more
exact, DT is not intended to process lossy formats, even if it is
possible. DT is targeted at RAW images.
I think DT re-encodes every image during export, without handling of
corner cases like "JPEG crop only".

Have a look at "jpegtran"
