I just discovered and dowloaded Darktable. I am an avid advanced-amateur
(hobby) photographer who has been bouncing around Photoshop CS, Photoshop
Elements, Lightroom, Aperture, and Capture NX2 yet still have not decided
which I should be using. I actually don't like to get into "heavy" editing
as I try very hard to take a photo that doesn't require the "magic" of
Photoshop to transform a bad image into a piece of art. I don't want to
spend the majority of my time slaving away on one photo in a attempt to
salvage it. I use RAW and mostly just tweak the white balance, exposure,
contrast, shadows, and saturation. I'm anxious to see if Darktable will
fit my needs with less hassle. My question is: Is the user manual
downloadable? Viewing one page at a time on-line is somewhat tedious and I
prefer a printed version on which I may write notes, hi-lite text, etc.
Also, some emails on the forum have made reference to tutorials but I have
not been able to locate them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
