I think the problem with xmp is mainly dc.simple.

This should come for free if dt uses proper xmp files (as far as I can
see it does as far as it is implemented.)

I don't think violating at least not as far as I checked it, but not
supporting is an issue. IPTC is really missing.
Probably those notes are of some help. I fiddled them out while ago as
an .args file for exiftool. I'm not 100% sure that they follow latest
recommendations from IPTC.
