Are you using my darktable-release-plus ppa? This has a patched
version of Exiv2 which might recognise your lens. This is done on
import, so you'd need to re-import your images to check.

Please do read the link I sent to you, which explains this has nothing
to do with Darktable itself.

LIkely you need to report this to the Exiv2 project.
