Hi Marcin,
I'm also a DT newbie - I just imported almost 29,000 images from Aperture
into Darktable - and I don't see a delay like you do at all - even if I set
up a collection with all of my images in it, switching back and forth
between darkroom/lighttable mode takes a second or two...
I'm afraid I can't offer any advice on how to fix your performance issue -
but I wanted to let you know that it isn't inherent to darktable. I'm
running the stable build off Pascal's PPA - 1.1.2
