Yes I tried. I took the RAW (0439) from Hans. First if I lower a max the
exposition (-1.60) I see where the clipping values are (see 1.jpg).

Then tried many thing in the hightlights module but I have never ever
been able to improve the highlight. The redish zone in the sky was never
reduced by all my tweaking. See 2.jpg which is an exaggerated tweaking
to try to remove part of the highlight.

I can't help more as I really don't know how this is working underneath.
I'll be more than happy to do some more testing if needed (even tweaking
some code, recompiling and testing).
