Hi,

As some of you might be aware, Aldric has been working up a custom
masking implementation which recently got merged into git master,
which means it will likely turn up in Darktable 1.4 in a few month's.

Now, to more clearly differentiate between development versions and
production versions we've moved to an odd/even scheme...

So 1.3 will be the current development version, after which 1.4 will
be the next production version derived from the 1.3 development cycle.
And so on...

I've just pushed version 1.3+103 to my Darktable Unstable PPA for
Ubuntu Precise/Quantal/Raring, which includes an early version of this
masking implementation... Keep in mind this is in-development code,
and the unstable PPA is called that for a reason... So only use this
PPA if you're feeling adventurous, and don't have to work against
deadlines. Also keep in mind to have an increased backup regimen just
in case :)

Regards,
Pascal de Bruijn
