A few tips/ideas:

1. Adjust black level (exposure module)
If you play a bit with the black level slider, you will get quite fast
an impression of how to tackle the grey haze. But be careful if you want
to preserve detail in dark regions.
2. Adjust contrast by tweaking the tone curve.
Try to lower the dark regions a bit and maybe raise the brighter ones.
Have a look at the presets to get an idea how to use this tool.
3. Try the presets "clarity" and "clarity (subtile)" for equalizer.
They increase the contrast by amplyfing the full range of frequencies in
your image. Can be slow, eat a lot of memory, kill details in the
shadows and highlights. Oh, and it can produce really cool effects.
4. If you don't like grey, add more color.
There are several plugins in the color group which can influence the
colors of your image. "velvia" and "vibrance" are the simpler ones, but
try the other plugins, too.

If you don't see one of the mentioned plugins, get sure to have them
enabled by using the "more modules" dialog [1].

Regards,
Markus
