Good strategy :) Typically I tend to upgrade to a new release of a
month or so after release.

Though I've been providing raring packages at least since 1.2 has been
released... Historically speaking I've never been more than a few days
behind an official Ubuntu release with supporting it.

The plus PPA doesn't have an updated Exiv2 yet though, I'll try to get
that done before 1.2.1...

While I personally couldn't care less about OpenCL at the moment
(since there isn't a truely open implementation yet), I do care a lot
about the color management stuff, and I'll be trying to figure out
what Mir's consequences would be in the coming month's.
