Working now for approx. 18 months with dt here my first question.
The "highlight reconstruction" thread in February 2012 gave a good
example how efficient highlight reconstruction could be. I was able to
experience the same effect on the CR2 raws provided. Applying highlight
reconstruction to the RW2 files from my Panasonic Lumix GH2 is by far
not so efficient. Even worth - you can delete all photos were some
sensor areas runs into to saturations.
Can somebody from the experts look into the sample files and tell me if
some camera parameters are wrong or explain what happens? Two typical
examples.

The sky is overexposed. Using the development from the sidecar provided
and switching off highlight reconstruction shows the magenta cast in the
clouds and some sky area in natural blue (not clipped area). Switching
highlight reconstruction on, using method reconstruct in LCh and
clipping threshold set to 0.970 recovers structures of the clouds (good)
but the blue sky turns into not natural cyan (bad).

Sunset on river Danube. The sun is overexposed. Using the development
from the sidecar provided and switching off highlight reconstruction
shows the magenta cast on the sun and on the mirror image on the water
(magenta = green channel saturated). Switching highlight reconstruction
on, using method reconstruct in LCh and clipping threshold set to 0.970
results in white/grey area while it should show some yellow/red colour.
In case the downlinks are not working download from

Any idea?
Thank you for your support. Best regards
