Maria, I'm not sure what you mean, but again : the history stack is an undo
stack. it's here to allow you to undo your changes, it's not a handler for
reaching a particular point in developement and "inserting elements" in the
middle of history doesn't make sense...
the very idea of "in the middle" makes little sense to me, I'll try to
explain what I understand and you can explain your use-case a bit better
based on that...
* either you implicitely think that the order of actions matters in DT and
you want to insert something in the middle of history thinking of history
as a stack of processing, which is not how DT works
DT has a fixed stack order and the order in which you edit modules has no
influence on the final result, so you probably want to work on the "top of
the history stack" anyway
* or you want to temporarly disable some module to do some work (working in
colors before applying the monochrome module to help visualize what's
happening) I can understand that use-case, but you shoud do that by
disabling/enabling the module (again, the active module tag is probably the
way to go. I personally have a shortcut to toggle the monochrome module
just for that purpose)
Again, inserting in history is not what you want here.
