I just tried using the create HDR feature for the first time. It was, how shall
I put it, less than optimal to say the least. The initial image appeared to
only take the dark portions of each picture. My options seem to be either
severely distorted color or odd extended patches of gray in a color image.
Making it monochrome only slightly improved the look. Honestly, the composite
image, in any format I tried, had worse tonal detail than the properly exposed
middle shot.
Is there some critical step beyond create HDR and Tonemapping that I am
missing? Or is there a known issue with the HDR function on the Mac version of
DT?
TIA.
