Hello Paul,
without a sample RAW it is hard to guess why you have problems with
purple areas. If you experience purple or pink areas in blown-out
highlights which you try to recover, than this might be fixed by
adjusting the clipping threshold in the highlite reconstruction iop.
Another idea is to use the color mixer and to reduce the reds, for
example. But without a sample it is hard to say. Are you working fully
colour managed?
