I have a Nikon d800. I am processing NEF files using darktable 1.1.4
under Fedora Linux 17.

According to http://wilson.bronger.org/lensfun_coverage.html, both my
lenses should be in the lensfun database. They are the
Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED
Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR
(Actually, I think I have the f/4 version of the second lens, but I am
willing to try the f/2.8 data. If it doesn't work, I will try to
provide data for producing a callibration entry.)
But when I run the Lens correction module, it shows neither lens. (The
exif data shown by darktable correctly identifies the lens.)

What is going on? Do I just have an old version of the database. Can
I correct that under Fedora 17, or do I have to install an more up to
date version of Fedora?

Another confusing thing: The file for nikon in /usr/share/lensfun
doesn't contain an entry for the 24-70 mm lens but it does show one for
the 70-200 mm lens. Yet neither shows up in darktable. Where is
darktable looking for the lens correction data?

Finally, note that the gimp filter GimpLensfun show exactly the same
choices for lenses as darktable, so it seems they may be looking in the
same place.

I would like to get all this straight before going to the effort of
providing calibration images, so if anyone can help me, I would
appreciate it.
