Maybe I was not clear enough.  I am trying to find out which are the
values that are applied for the sharpen and base curve modules
when importing RAW images from a Canon 40D camera.  Both modules are
applied by default with some parameter values, and I assume that these
values are stored somewhere.

And I agree, the manual has a wealth of information! :D
