dl from card to hard-drive, then import single location (not recursive)
into dt

reset cache for selected
deleted selected
re-imported

seemed to correct missing exif for a portion
successive repetition of above completed set

no, above finally succeeded, could not wait, was under deadline :^(

everything appears to be correct atm, have another shoot this Sat. 
Indina HS Soccer Championships, grandson is goalie for Avon, ranked #1 HS
in USA.  If I observe condition again, will provide info.  *What* do you
need to see condition as I will be under another deadline.  I can save
what you need at that time to another location and provide web access. 
Then continue correcting so I can finish processing the shoot.
