Hi,

I am trying to add some clarity to a panorama, to reduce the general
fogginess of distant views. I have noticed that the equalizer presets
for clarity and sharpening add some kind of white shine/halo around
strong contrasts, noticeably at the border between some elements of the
mountaintop I was standing upon (bushes etc.) and far away landscape.

It doesn't matter much when in the process I use the EQ (on the single
frames or on the full panorama). The result for processing single frames
seems to be a bit better, but the halo is still there.

Probably this is a matter of principle for those equalizer modules,
because the difference between the strong colours of the mountaintop and
the soft colors of the landscape is exaggerated?

Any hints how to reduce/avoid the halo?

Thanks,

Michael
