Dear list, I'd like to darken certain colors. Therefore I found the "color area" plugin of great value (not sure if the name is correct, it's the one with the pizza slice icon, one piece is yellow and the other two are reddish).
I have an image with a nice blue sky, and I want to turn the sky very dark and get a nice contrast to the clouds (it's a black-and-white image). However, when I pull down the blue part of the curve, the blue gets a little bit darker, but not nearly black. It gets better when I duplicate the instance of the plugin. Is there some setting which I need to adjust and which prevents me from things I maybe don't want to do or is my understanding of the curves not correct?
