I can see you are sceptical here Rolf.  All I can suggest is try it and see 
what you think - once you have used a system running from SSD I suspect you 
won't ever want to go back - it isn't just boot that is massively quicker, the 
whole system becomes more responsive.

Hm. I just flip the lid, and everything continues running from the point I left 
it. Only logging into the WiFi lasts some seconds longer.

Isn't there a temporary directory for DT where buffers are stored? Maybe that 
would be something nice for a SSD.
