Tested the Nikon d3200 tethered on Darktable 1.4.1, works fine from Debian 7 Wheezy, the only caveat is that when you plug in the camera, make sure it does not auto-mount. If it auto-mounts, simply unmount the camera, leave it connected then open Darktable and you can now shoot tethered.
