As reported here a few days ago, Darktable overwrites existing XMP files
(only those corresponding to RAW files; the ones corresponding to JPG files
are not overwritten) when I import a folder of photos (that has both images
and XMP files) that is several months old. In order to have my previous
edits back (in the history field), I need to copy the XMP files from a
backup external HD and then import the same folder again. I have just gone
through that process but now starting Darktable from console as
darktable -d all
The output is available at
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2171814/darktable-10072014-01.txt
Suggestions are welcome. P.S. I run the unstable version of Darktable (from
Pascal's PPA) on a Ubuntu 14.04 notebook.
