Thanks much for the information. A related question: When images are 
pushed through LAB, will the redesigned pipe (or even does the current 
pipe) allow for colors (saturated greens, yellows, blues) that exceed 
the usual LAB integer encoding as described by Lindbloom 
(http://brucelindbloom.com/index.html?LabGamutDisplayHelp.html)? To be 
more clear, this isn't a question about integer vs floating point 
encoding, but rather about the gamut covered by the encoding.
