I would have thought that by going to settings / presets you can change the behaviour of the basecurve. But it seems to be locked ... :-( so you cannot doubleclick to open the dialog to change it.

The manual says: Pre-defined presets are shown with a lock symbol. Their auto-apply properties can not be changed.

the manual says that base curve presets are automatically applied to RAW images according to the manufacturer ID found in EXIF data. I get the nikon preset for my camera. Out of curiosity, can I change the default to nikon-alternate?
Otherwise I must use selective copy&paste/overwrite of the base curve.
