I can confirm your problem when the pictures are viewed as a whole
(fit to window). Gwenview shows it smooth while eog shows it noisy.
But when changing to the 100% view there is no difference anymore.
Both apps show the same.
Interesting.

But me and others see the difference even when changing to 100%.
