Hi,
just a quick reply on the go: you shouldn't remove saturation IMHO, you should 
use the same module to add a tint of the opposite color to the area tinted by 
window light. Try a soft edge around the effect to blend in where the light 
sources overlap. It's hard to get this exactly right, a low saturation might 
help to make color differences less obvious
 But I can't imagine that complete desaturation looks more natural.
